Hello! My name is Yoliannie Torres and I was born and raised in the island of Puerto Rico. I completed my Bachelor’s in Adapted Physical Education in June 2014, where I was able to work with children of all ages with Autism Spectrum Disorder, ADHD, Intellectual Disabilities and Down Syndrome. However, I strived to do more for the children I worked with and their families. I earned my Master’s Degree in Occupational Therapy from the University of Puerto Rico-Medical Science Campus in June 2017 with experience in school-based, low vision and outpatient mental health services.

I also have previous experience providing treatments such as fine motor, sensory processing, handwriting, self-care and self-regulation skills. Since joining the Flourish team, I have earned my AEIOU Pediatric Feeding Approach Certification and a Micro Certification in Primitive Reflex Integration. I have also gained vast knowledge on sensory processing disorders and do a lot of work with sensory sensitive children. As a pediatric OT, I enjoy finding new ways to incorporate functionality into play based activities.
