My name is Victoria Evans, one of the Speech Pathologists at Flourish as well as the Assistant Clinical Director and Director of Group Services. I grew up in Corpus Christi, Texas and received my bachelor’s degree in Communication Sciences and disorders from Abilene Christian University. I then received my master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from Texas Tech University.
I began my career as a Speech Pathologist in Nashville, Tennessee, where I had the unique experience to work with a high number of ethically diverse geographic populations in both the school and home health settings. I recently re-located to Columbus, Ohio in June 2018 as a licensed Speech language Pathologist through the State of Ohio as well as hold a certificate of Clinical Competence from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association.
I enjoy working on social pragmatic skills, feeding, early intervention skills, problem solving, critical thinking, early language, and executive functioning with clients of all ages. My passion is to establish independence for my clients by teaching carry over of communication skills into daily life, as well as equip and promote advocacy for both clients and their families. Throughout my career, I have worked with patients from infancy to adulthood and in a variety of settings including pediatric clinics, homes, schools, and nursing homes. I enjoy working with the interdisciplinary team of therapists here at Flourish Integrated Therapy and getting to work and form relationships with my clients and their families.
