My name is Tara Gosnik and I am the Director of Feeding and Swallowing Services at Flourish. I achieved both an undergraduate degree in Speech Pathology and Audiology and a Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology from Kent State University in 2010 and 2011. Growing up with a sister who has Autism, I became interested in Speech Pathology at an early age. My passion has always been in helping others and as a SLP, I have the honor of helping my clients reach their full potential. I hold the Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from the American Speech and Hearing Association, state licensure from the Ohio Board of Speech Language Pathology and Audiology, as well as an educational license from the Ohio Department of Education to practice speech pathology in the school setting. My clinical background includes working with clients in private clinics, home care, skilled nursing facilities, hospitals and outpatient neuro clinics. I have had the privilege of working with clients of all ages and have developed a strong knowledge of language development and rehabilitation at any age.

Over the last 10 years, I have specialized in dysphagia and neuro rehabilitation. I am passionate about using my areas of expertise to treat childhood feeding/swallowing disorders as well as autism and cognitive delays. I have taken specialized courses in pediatric feeding/swallowing involving feeding development, pediatric anxiety with feeding and picky eating. I have also taken the Sequential Oral Sensory (SOS) Approach to Feeding course and am currently helping to run our dynamic feeding groups.

I am rewarded each day I get to spend time with my clients and their families, and am thrilled to have joined the Flourish team. Thank you for allowing me to be a part of your child’s lives!
