Hello! My name is Erika, and I'm grateful to be a part of the Flourish team. I received my undergraduate degree from The Ohio State University before returning to my home state of Wisconsin for my graduate program at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. I'm thrilled to be back in Columbus after starting my career in rural Tennessee and Washington, D.C. in outpatient, school, and community-based settings. I am passionate about neurodiversity-affirming speech therapy that is child-led, relationship-based, and sensory-informed.
My approach is highly individualized and investigative in nature, so I frequently participate in ongoing continuing education. My special interests include differential diagnosis of speech sound disorders, DTTC for Childhood Apraxia of Speech, empowering my neurodivergent clients, self-advocacy for stutterers, gestalt language processing, AAC, and pediatric feeding therapy. I also care deeply about counseling and coaching caregivers to support you throughout the therapy process.
Outside of work, I love visiting my Nana's farm outside of Columbus, showing everyone too many pictures of my rescue dog, and searching for bargains at local second-hand stores. I'm excited to meet you and am looking forward to being a part of your child's journey!
