I’m Ami and I am a Speech-Language Pathologist with experience working with children and adults in diverse settings including private clinics, schools, home health, in-patient hospitals, and skilled nursing facilities.
I completed my Masters of Science degree in Speech and Language Pathology from the University of South Florida in 2011. After receiving my graduate degree, I had the opportunity to participate in a Post-Graduate Fellowship in Leadership Education in Neurodevelopmental and Related Disabilities (LEND) at the University of Illinois Chicago to advance my practical knowledge of policy and advocacy for individuals with disabilities. During my LEND fellowship, I received training on the multidisciplinary diagnostic evaluation process for autism spectrum disorders (ASD) and had the opportunity to speak to our Senators on Capitol Hill to advocate for disability rights. I currently hold a Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from the American Speech and Hearing Association and a state licensure from the Ohio Board of Speech Pathology and Audiology. My professional interests include early intervention/ prelinguistic communication, neurodevelopmental disorders, social language and executive functioning skills, and articulation and phonological disorders.
I am committed to providing compassionate child-centered therapy by forming interdisciplinary partnerships and engaging families to advocate for and empower their children. I believe in a team approach to therapy that focuses on evidence-based strategies tailored for each of my clients’ needs. Therapy should be engaging and fun! I love seeing the smiles on my client’s faces as we celebrate reaching our goals, whether big or small!
