Allison Fenner

M.A., CCC-SLP

Speech and Language Pathologist

I completed a Bachelor of the Arts in Speech and Hearing Science with a minor in Linguistics in 2007, and a Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology in 2010, both at The Ohio State University. During my graduate work, I completed a traineeship through a grant from the U.S. Department of Education in language and literacy intervention. Although I have had the opportunity to work in a variety of settings, I have spent a large portion of my career working in the public schools. While in the school setting, I began by providing traditional speech and language therapy to children preschool-aged through adolescence in articulation, language, oral speaking fluency, social skills/pragmatic language, and areas of cognition. My role as an SLP in the schools evolved into providing literacy intervention to students in conjunction with speech and language therapy, and I eventually came to create and lead the building-wide literacy intervention program at the elementary school level. I currently hold Ohio licensure in Speech-Language Pathology, a Certificate of Clinical Competence from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association, and a Pupil Services License from the Ohio Department of Education. I am passionate about empowering children and their families in building skills and confidence in communication, and I am proud to do so as a member of the Flourish team!
