Victoria Garza

Speech Language Pathologist

Group Programming Director

My name is Victoria Garza and I am originally from Corpus Christi, Texas. I began my career as a Speech Pathologist in Nashville, Tennessee, where I had the unique experience to work with a high number of ethically diverse geographic populations. I recently moved to Columbus, Ohio in June 2018. I graduated with my master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from Texas Tech University and my bachelor’s degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders from Abilene Christian University. I am currently a licensed Speech language Pathologist through the State of Ohio as well as hold a certificate of Clinical Competence from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association.

I enjoy working on social pragmatic skills, feeding, early intervention skills, problem solving, critical thinking, language, autism, and augmentative and alternative communication.  My passion is to establish independence by teaching carry over of communication skills into daily life, as well as equip and promote advocacy for both clients and their families. I believe that every child should be nurtured and cared for to live their best, most fulfilling life and believe communication is a key component to maximizing their potential.  Throughout my career thus far, I have worked with patients from infancy to adulthood and in a variety of settings including pediatric clinics, homes, schools and nursing homes. I am looking forward to being a part of a wonderful interdisciplinary team of therapists at Flourish Integrated Therapy and getting to work and form relationships with my clients and their families!
