We offer a variety of effective, functional and fun group programs through our integrated team.  Our groups are uniquely designed and held by licensed and certified professionals in the area of Speech-Language Pathology, Occupational Therapy, Literacy Support, Art Therapy, Feeding, and Counseling.

MONDAY:

Little Boppers: Ages 2.5-3: Cost $300
Mondays: 9:00-10:00 am- Joselyn (SLP) and Yoli (OT): Starts June 14th

This group was created for young children who are receiving early intervention services or interested in practicing social language skills with same aged peers. Our instructors work directly with families who want to help their child increase receptive/expressive language, articulation, motor skills, and/or help ease the transition into preschool. Each week is theme-based to bolster vocabulary through song, books, crafts, and free play.

Club Social Celebration Junior Classic Edition: Ages 4-6: Cost $300
Mondays: 9:15-10:15 am- Victoria (SLP) and Alexa (OT): Starts June 14th

This group is designed to increase social-language skills in young children. This group is a spin on our classic Club Social celebration group including fun group games, crafts and teamwork activities.

TUESDAY:

Club Social Celebration I: Ages 7-9: Cost $300
Tuesdays: 9:15-10:15- Melissa (SLP) and Alexa (OT): Starts June 15th

Our most popular social skills group! This weekly 8-week group focuses on age-appropriate social skills, group collaboration and participation, listening skills, question asking/answering, leadership and friendship building. This group will target beginning social and conversational skills while incorporating a communication component.

Crafting Friendships *Two Groups: Cost $300
Tuesdays: 9:00-10:00 am (4-6), 10:30-11:30 am (8-10) – Joselyn (SLP) and Yoli (OT): Starts June 15th

A crafty spin on one of our most popular groups, now available for more ages! This 8-week group brings a new way to target a variety of skills such as building friendships, fine motor skills, problem solving, sequencing/following directions, teamwork, collaboration, and social language skills through weekly crafts. Each week, kids will work independently and in a group to create a fun item to take home while making new friends.

Bookworm Buddies: Read It Or Not, Here We Come!: Ages 4-6: Cost $300
Tuesdays: 12:00-1:00 pm- Joselyn (SLP) and Allison (SLP): Starts June 15th

This group provides multi-sensory instruction and engaging activities tailored to the needs of budding readers to support meaningful growth, independence, and confidence in early literacy skills in a way that is FUN! Targeted through academically-focused songs, games and stories designed to solidify foundational reading/spelling skills at the sound, letter, and basic word levels for each child.

Social Detectives: Ages 7-10: Cost $300
Tuesdays: 5:00-6:00 pm- Victoria (SLP) and Yoli (OT): Starts June 15th

Come join us for a Flourish favorite! Based on Michelle Garcia Winner’s Social Thinking teachings, this group teaches students social communication skills in order to improve their daily lives at school, home, and community. Each week students will learn and practice how to be ‘flexible thinkers” in a variety of situations by understanding others’ perspectives, and distinguishing between both “expected” and “unexpected” behaviors. Students will be empowered as “social detectives” to understand social aspects of our world.

WEDNESDAY:

Calm Cool Kids: Ages 6-10: Cost $300
Wednesdays: 1:00-2:00 pm- Emily (SLP) and Elizabeth (RYT): Starts June 16th

Join us on an adventure through 8 weeks of theme-based activities using C.A.L.M.M. Curriculum by Shawnee Thortnton Hardy. This group will provide an introduction to simple yoga and breathing exercises to improve mindfulness and self-awareness, while also providing a vocabulary rich environment for improving communication skills. This group will incorporate art, movement, and socialization, and requires no prerequisite physical or communication abilities. Target ages for this class are 6-10, but other age inquiries will be considered. All equipment included.

Club Social Celebration: Unplugged: Ages 17+*ages flexible: Cost $300
Wednesdays: 5:30-6:30 pm- Emily (SLP) and Denise (OT): Starts June 16th

CSC-Unplugged provides adults of all abilities (included but not limited to Autism, ADHD) opportunities to socialize out in the community. Weekly outings give adults a perfect reason to “unplug” for an hour and spend time with others. An agenda with weekly outings will be provided.

THURSDAY:

Big Boppers: Ages 3.5-3.11: Cost $300
Thursdays: 9:00-10:00 am- Melissa (SLP) and Joselyn (SLP): Starts June 17th

Looking for a group that works on everything for your child? This group is a spin on our classic Little Boppers group, but for older kids. Our instructors work directly with families, tailoring the group to the needs of each child, and providing ideas for carryover at home.

Move & Groove: Ages 4-6: Cost $300
Thursdays: 10:00-11:00 am- Emily (SLP) and Denise (OT): Starts June 17th

This 8-week group is focused on developing the social and physical skills preschoolers and kindergarteners use to participate in play. This group will provide opportunities to practice turn-taking, cooperative play, pretend play, gross and fine motor development, and social skills important for initiating and sustaining play in a group. Activities will include group-based games, sensory exploration activities, free play, circle time and a group craft.

Scribe & Say: Ages 5-7: Cost $300
Thursdays from 10:30-11:30 am- Melissa (SLP) and Yoli (OT): Starts June 17th

This 8-week group will be focused on pre-writing skills mixed with sound-letter awareness. Both of these skills are foundational for preschool and kindergarten students, making this an excellent group to get your child ready for school this fall.

Club Social Celebration: Travel Group: Ages 10-13: Cost $360
Thursdays from 12:30-1:30 pm- Melissa (SLP) and Tara (SLP): Starts June 17th

Get out and about AND spend time with peers this summer! This group encourages developing meaningful friendships and purposeful social skills together in the community. Each week, we will meet at a different destination in Franklin and/or Delaware County. A travel agenda will be provided with scheduled weekly outings including fun activities such as board games or card games at an ice cream shop, lawn games and team sports at parks, and other team activities such as bowling.

SATURDAY:

*Virtual: Sensory Chef Group: Ages 4-7: Cost $300
Saturdays from 10:30-12:00 pm- Tara (SLP) and Heather (OT): Starts June 19th

Get ready to get messy! This dynamic VIRTUAL cooking class focuses on the sensory aspect of preparing food, cooking/baking, and eating! This is a great group for children with sensory sensitivities, picky eaters, or who want to work on language development in a whole new play based way. Adaptable to food allergies. Ingredients not supplied.

 

JUST ANNOUNCED! Handwriting Bootcamp for Back to School! 

 

Join us for a 2-week series on August 2, 3, 4 and 9, 10, 11: *SIGN-UP DEADLINE: July 23, 2021*

Handwriting/Print Boot Camp: Ages 6-9 (Please contact us with older or younger ages)

 Get ready for back to school with our “boot camp” for handwriting. This group will meet three times per week for two weeks (Monday-Wednesday). The focus of this group is getting student’s writing skills ready with exercises to work on arm/core strength and motor planning, hand strengthening to improve pencil grip and legibility of letters, preparatory writing exercises, working on vertical surfaces such as the white board for shoulder stability, and improving the ability to copy from a far point model. We will focus on line use, spacing and letter formation throughout the class through structured handwriting activities and age appropriate games involving handwriting. Taught and designed by two of our certified Flourish Occupational Therapists Denise and Beth.

Monday-Wednesday: 5:30-6:30 – Dates: August 2, 3, 4 and 9, 10, 11

Cost: $225

FEEDING GROUPS ANNOUNCED! *Starting this June*

Peas of Mind – For ages between 2-8 years

*A group designed for children who are picky eaters or problem feeders

Cost: $540

Does your child have just a few “favorite” foods? Are you making separate meals at mealtimes? Does your child avoid whole food groups (i.e., vegetables, fruits, meats). Do they have sensitivity to texture or temperature? If so, this is the group for you! Led by both a Speech-Language Pathologist and an Occupational Therapist, this dynamic group will focus on developing the skills that are needed for children to become diverse and confident eaters. Using the concepts of Sequential-Oral-Sensory (SOS) Approach, your child will “play with a purpose” to target improvement of oral motor and sensory skills. Designed for both picky eaters and problem feeders, this group will also give parents the skills to decrease stress around mealtimes and help their children to be successful in eating situations.

*Pre-Requisite: Current Formal Feeding and/or Swallowing evaluation completed by a Speech-Language Pathologist or Occupational Therapist. This may be from another facility.

Mondays 6:00-7:00pm – Runs 6/7/21-8/9/21 *No group July 5

Wednesdays 11:00am-12:00pm – Runs 6/9/21-8/11/21 *No Group July 7
