Bethany Bates

Occupational Therapist

I am an occupational therapist with experience working with children in the areas of outpatient therapy, early intervention, and mental health services. I completed my Bachelor of Art in Psychology in 2006, after which I was a Research Coordinator working with children with Autism Spectrum Disorders and ADHD. Although I enjoyed this work, I decided to become an occupational therapist as I wanted to be more involved in the direct care of the children I worked with. I graduated from The Ohio State University in 2013 with my Master of Occupational Therapy and began my role as an occupational therapist providing early intervention services to children in a daycare setting.

I like working with children of all ages and strive to make therapy sessions fun, have children be active learners in the session, and to make therapy functional and relevant for the child and family unit. I am excited to join the therapy team at Flourish and to help children do the things they want and need to do!
