Speech-Language Pathologist

I am speech-language pathologist with 6 years of experience in private practice, skilled nursing and rehabilitation centers, home health, and hospitals. I received a Bachelor of Arts in Speech-Language Pathology from the University of Toledo in 2005. Then in 2007 I achieved my Masters of Arts in Speech-Language Pathology also from the University of Toledo. During my graduate program I worked on a literacy grant focusing on ways to improve phonological awareness during oral reading. I hold the Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from the American Speech and Hearing Association, state licensure from the Ohio Board of Speech Language Pathology and Audiology, as well as an educational license from the Ohio Department of Education to practice speech pathology in the school setting.

I believe in a team approach to therapy to maximize the carryover of newly learned communication skills. My focus includes teaching of treatment approaches to family/teachers. I strive to provide the highest quality speech therapy services based on current research while keeping the therapy focus functional. My interests include early intervention, autism spectrum disorders, feeding disorders, articulation and phonological disorders, language delays, and social language disorders.
