We offer a variety of effective, functional and fun group programs through our integrated team.  Our groups are uniquely designed and held by licensed and certified professionals in the area of Speech-Language Pathology, Occupational Therapy, Art Therapy, Feeding, and Music.

We offer Group Programming for children of all abilities, focusing on skill development through play and fun.  Our skilled professionals have designed groups that assist with social, speech, language, feeding, gross and fine motor, and sensory development in an engaging group setting.

AGES 1-4

Touch & Feel, Art & Play – Ages: 1-3 – Cost: $225

Join art therapists Melissa Ayotte, MA ATR-BC and Kayla Gardner, MA, ATR-P for a fun filled 6-week group designed to increase sensory exposure. Each week, parents and children will playfully explore a variety of art techniques—such as edible clay and shaving cream painting—that will foster your child’s development of sensory integration and emotional regulation. Parents will learn how to plan, organize, and contain sensory activities at home.

Club Social Celebration: Little Boppers Edition – Ages: 2.5-3 – Cost: $225

This 6-week group focuses on receptive/expressive language development, listening skills, turn taking, and friendship making through play, song, and interactive games. Activities include circle time, sensory exploration, and crafts. Led by a Speech-Language Pathologist and Occupational Therapist.

Club Social Celebration: Move and Groove—Ages 3-4 – Cost: $300 **Note different location: We Rock the Spectrum in Lewis Center** Location: We Rock the Spectrum: 1250 E. Powell Road, Lewis Center, OH 43035

This 6-week group is focused on developing the social and physical skills preschoolers use to participate in play. Meet us at We Rock the Spectrum Kid’s Gym for opportunities to practice turn-taking, cooperative play, pretend play, gross and fine motor development, and social skills important for initiating and sustaining play in a group. Activities will include group based games, sensory exploration activities, free play, circle time and a group craft. Designed and led by an Occupational Therapist and Speech-Language Pathologist.

Tuesdays 9:00-10:00am—Instructors: Alex and Beth – Starts June 12, 2018


 

AGES 4-7

AGES 4-7 Story, Rhyme & Music Time- Ages 4-6– Cost: $225

A weekly 6-week class focusing on phonological awareness and vocabulary development. This group will intertwine rhyming games, stories, crafts and music to target pre-reading skills while working on receptive/expressive language. This class will also have a strong social component. Taught by two Speech-Language Pathologists.

Tuesdays 10:00-11:00am—Instructors: Joselyn and Lisa – Starts June 12, 2018

 

Scribe & Say! – Ages 4-6 – Cost: $225

This 6-week group will be focused on pre-writing skills mixed with sound-letter awareness. Both of these skills are foundational for preschool and kindergarten students, making this an excellent group to get your child ready for school this fall. A gross-motor, fine-motor, and letter of the week activity will be provided to help spark your child’s interest in letters and sound. Led by a Speech-Language Pathologist and an Occupational Therapist.

Bookworm Buddies: Read it Or not, Here We Come! Ages 4-6 – Cost: $225

Join us for a weekly adventure in learning foundational reading and writing skills at the sound, letter, and basic word level for budding readers. Each week, group members will be immersed in sounds, rhymes, letters, and words through group games, multisensory projects, engaging stories, and silly songs that are both academically focused and FUN! These activities are carefully designed to solidify sound awareness skills, foster independence in reading/writing letters and sounds, and help children develop their confidence in early reading. Led by two Speech-Language Pathologists.

Thursdays 1:00-2:00pm—Instructors: Allison and Melissa – Starts June 14, 2018

 

Club Social Celebration: Good Sports Edition- Ages: 4-6 – Cost: $225

This 6-week group focuses on how to be a “good sport” while game playing. Students will learn how to take turns, identify and manage emotions, and encourage others. Body awareness, proximity, and personal space will be incorporated into both active and “sit down” games. Taught and designed by an Occupational Therapist and a Speech-Language Pathologist.

Club Social Celebration: Junior Classic Edition- Ages: 5-7 **Two time offerings** – Cost: $225

One of our most popular groups! This weekly 6-week group focuses on age-appropriate social skills, group collaboration and participation, listening skills, question asking/answering, leadership and friendship building. Led by a Speech-Language Pathologist and an Occupational Therapist.

Earthlings – Ages 5-7 – Cost: $225

A 6-week group for our Eco-Warriors! In this class, group members will participate in language building activities designed to promote group participation, social interaction, engagement, turn-taking skills, and confidence while spiking interest in the “green movement.” Themes will include: conservation, recycling, composting, and gardening. Designed and led by two Speech-Language Pathologists.

AGES 7-10

Cosmic Composers – Ages 7-9 – Cost: $225

Get your creativity soaring! Join us for a new language-based story composition class. Participants will begin by exploring story grammar elements and blast through fun, specially designed activities to target verbal and written language expression. Students will engage in verbal storytelling and the group will culminate by writing their own storybook. Designed and led by two Speech-Language Pathologists.

Social Detectives – Ages 7-9 – Cost: $225

Come join us for a 6-week group based on Michelle Garcia Winner’s Social Thinking curriculum. This evidence-based curriculum is used to teach students social communication skills in order to improve their daily lives in school, home, and community. Each week, students will learn how to be flexible thinkers in different situations, understand others’ perspectives, and to learn what is “expected” vs. “unexpected”. Students will have the opportunity to become “social detectives” to understand social aspects of our world. Led by two Speech-Language Pathologists.

Club Social Celebration: Celebrations Edition –Ages 8-10– Cost: $225

Who’s ready to celebrate this summer? Join us for this fun and exciting 6-week group that will focus on different events and celebrations that occur throughout the year. During this group, your child will learn age-appropriate social and listening skills needed to successfully participate during major celebrations. Each week will focus on a common celebration such as a school dance, birthday party, Thanksgiving, or 4th of July. Participants will learn expected verses unexpected social norms for these events. Designed and led by a Speech-Language Pathologist and Occupational Therapist.

Sibling Circle –Ages 7-10 – Cost: $225

Children who have a sibling with a diagnosis pertaining to developmental or behavioral issues are invited to join Art Therapist Melissa Ayotte and Counselor Alison Roark for art and games that will foster understanding, awareness, compassion, and acceptance for themselves and their differently-abled sibling.

Club Social Celebration: Classic Edition: II –Ages 11-14 – Cost: $225

Our most popular social skills group! This weekly 6-week group focuses on age-appropriate social skills, group collaboration and participation, listening skills, question asking/answering, leadership and friendship building. This group will target higher-level executive function skills and perspective taking. Led by a Speech-Language Pathologist and Occupational Therapist.

Club Social Celebration: Connected! –Ages 11-14 – Cost: $225

Looking for a group to help your teen navigate the world of social media? Well, look no further! This 6-week group will help your child with their “cyber smarts!” Participants will learn to use different social media platforms by gaining an understanding of the ever-changing language components and the new world of social skills that are required for texting and connecting with others safely and securely.

Wednesdays 10:15-11:15am—Instructors: Ami and Joselyn – Starts June 13, 2018

 

Thriving Thinkers: Helping Children Pause, Plan, and Carry Out Daily Tasks –Ages 10-13 **Note different start date** – Cost: $225

Does your child have difficulty following through when given directions? Does he/she demonstrate difficulty with organization and time management? Does your child struggle with controlling his/her impulses or frequently lose things? If you answered yes to any of these, your child might be having trouble with executive function skills. This 6-week group will teach children skills and strategies to complete daily tasks such as hygiene routines and homework assignments, as well as to increase flexibility needed to cope with unexpected moments. This group will incorporate topics and strategies from the most current research-based executive function curriculums. Your child will leave the group with specific tools that can be used immediately to increase his/her success in the classroom and at home.

Club Social Celebration: Travel Edition – Ages: 8-14– Cost: $360

Come make memories with us! This group will be going out into the community to develop meaningful friendships and purposeful social skills. Each week, the group will meet at chosen destinations in Franklin and/or Delaware counties. Possible activities may include painting pottery, eating at a restaurant, and/or visiting a wildlife center. Led by a team of Speech Pathologists.

Boot Camps!

Handwriting Boot Camp- Starts in August! Handwriting/Print Boot Camp – Ages: 6-9 Please contact us with older and younger ages – Cost: $225

Get ready for back-to-school with our intense, yet fun “boot camp” for handwriting. This group will meet three times per week for two weeks. Students will get back into the groove of writing while working on hand strengthening, stamina, and proper writing techniques. Designed and led by two Occupational Therapists.

Handwriting/Cursive Boot Camp – Ages: 10+ – Cost: $225

Get ready for back-to-school with this intense, yet fun “boot camp” for cursive writing. This group will meet three times per week for two weeks. Students will get back into the groove of writing while working on hand strengthening, stamina, and proper writing techniques. Cursive is not a lost art! It’s crucial. Designed and led by two Occupational Therapists.
