Hello! I’m Joselyn Line, one of the Speech-Language Pathologists at Flourish and the Digital Media Coordinator. I began my journey at The Ohio State University, where I received my Bachelor of Arts in Communication Science Disorders with a minor in Linguistics. I went on to Eastern Kentucky University where I obtained a Master of Education in Communication Disorders. While at EKU, I completed a research thesis on the utilization of applications (apps) as a form of augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) devices. Since graduating, I have worked for Flourish and an adult home health agency, as adjunct faculty for Otterbein University, and as a guest lecturing for the Occupational Therapy Assistance program at Marion Technical Institute.

Currently, I hold the Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from the American Speech-Language and Hearing Association (ASHA), state licensure from the Ohio Board of Speech Language Pathology and Audiology, and an education licensure from the Ohio Department of Education to practice in school settings. I have completed additional trainings for executive functioning, Childhood Apraxia of Speech, feeding therapy using the TR-eat Model, as well as numerous courses on language development and language disorders in the ESL/ELL populations.

I believe therapy should be client and family-centered, and that great success comes from working with families and the client’s whole team. I strive to make therapy as functional, realistic and successful as possible, both in clinic and when the child is at home or in the community. My clinical interests include executive functioning/life skills, Childhood Apraxia of Speech, early intervention, and augmentative and alternative communication (AAC). I value listening and learning from others, specifically the neurodivergent community, to continue bettering my skills and abilities to help clients meet the goals they want. I am also growing my knowledge on the impact of trauma and traumatic events on language, social-emotional and executive functioning development. I am grateful to be here at Flourish, working with a wonderful team, and all the amazing families who have walked through these doors.
